a blog about the repatriation of one Trini, and the expatriation of her family from the concrete mash up of Brooklyn to the sunbaked proud island of Trinidad. We'll share our experiences and observations along the way, and hope our blended perspectives can bring some unique (or, at least, entertaining) insights.

Hey Girl,
What a Trini Lime you on. Goes without saying I am happy for all of you. Thanks for the late breaking news. Do I have good timing or what?
Looking forward to reading your blog. By the end of this trip, you are going to have another book worth publishing.
Love to Grey and Helen.

Yayy! I'm excited that you are keeping a blog! I didn't realize that you were leaving so soon for trini, I thought it wasn't until Sept.
It is hilarious that current goes i think, though it never happens when I am there...I long for it to happen while I'm there...SO FUN! lol
I can tell from the few pics that Helen is having a ball!
Well after 5 months she has to atleast come back saying a few Trini phrases!
"sweedrink" "sweetie" etc.
I'm excited for allyuh...

Hi Gracy, Grey and Helen Dekkar,
I love the pics of Helen on the beach and the one of Helen sitting in the dark during the current gone.
Can't wait to see more of Trinidad...
